Day 1 - Morning - juice-feast CHALLENGE! June 1st, 09

Good morning to you all! :)

This is a picture of the juice this morning.

It is very green and green tasting.

A HUGE reminder that I forgot to review: "Chew" the juice. This means to let the juice sit in your mouth a bit as if you were chewing food. This allows your saliva to come into the mix which is very important. If you "chug" it you might get nauseous because it is so packed full of good nutrients and enzymes. So, CHEW your juice.

- (3) cucumbers, I used (4) because they were super small cucumbers.
- (3) carrots
- (1/2) bunch of celery
- a little bunch of parsley
- (1) organic lemon
- a pink of Himalayan salt (very important for minerals).

I don't know how yours turned out so green with those carrots! Mine is a "lovely" shade of greenish-orange. And thanks for that bit of advice; I was feeling a bit nauseous.

Question: your instructions said to drink 4 quarts a day, but you only list 3 recipes and this first one came out to 1 quart. That leaves me a quart short, unless I'm worse at math than I remember.

Hi Saliha,

You are correct with your math. In the first review of how this is going to work, it says that I will give you three recipes and then you can choose how you want to make more of one or another or make a double batch to end up with the four quarts.

You could also have one Kombucha if you want...

Also, juicers and blenders work differently so the production of juice will be different.
